Material “Trioxident” in all its performances is a calcium aluminosilicate cement, which contains fine particles of of oxides ofcalcium, silicon, aluminum, a plasticizer and a radiopaque filler. The active bacteriostatic additive, having the general chemicalbase with the basic components, is copper-calcium hydroxide (cupral). When mixing with water the plastic mass is formed, whichactively allocates calcium hydroxide (provides high alkalinity of material – pH 12.8), gradually hardens, turning the reaction toinsoluble calcium hydroaluminosilicate.
Material “Trioxident” stimulates processes of apexigenesis and osteogenesis in case of treating teeth with non-formed roots,it prevents resorption of bone tissue and stimulates dentinal bridge formation in case of pulp covering; has good bactericidal effect,high biocompatibility, low solubility, high mechanical strength; provides good sealing of root canals, making them impermeable tobacteria.
